About Me

Hello, I'm Tracy, and welcome to Open Heart Therapy

I'm so glad you've found your way here.

Reaching out for support isn't always easy, and choosing a counsellor is a very personal decision. My hope is that, as you explore my website, you'll begin to get a sense of who I am and how I work, so you can decide whether I feel like the right person to walk alongside you.

I work with adults and young people aged 13 and over who are often used to being the strong one for everyone else, yet privately feel emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or unsure of who they are anymore. If you've spent a long time putting other people's needs before your own, you may have reached a point where something inside you is quietly saying, "What about me?"

If that sounds familiar, you're not alone.

A little about me

I've always been fascinated by people and the stories that shape us. I consider it an honour to sit alongside someone as they begin to understand themselves more deeply, often discovering strengths and possibilities they hadn't recognised before.

Outside of my counselling work, I value the simple things that help us reconnect with ourselves. Time in nature, reading, meaningful conversations and moments of quiet reflection. They remind me of the importance of slowing down, something I hope every person experiences when they walk into my therapy room.

Qualifications and professional membership

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Children, Young People and Families.

Alongside my private practice, I have experience supporting clients in bereavement services, schools and community settings, working with adults, young people and families facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within its Ethical Framework, placing confidentiality, respect and your wellbeing at the centre of my practice.

Ready to take the next step?

If you're wondering whether counselling is right for you, I'd be happy to invite you to a free 15 minute introductory phone call.

It's simply an opportunity for us to talk about what's brought you here, answer any questions you may have and see whether working together feels like the right fit. There is absolutely no obligation to book a session afterwards.
