My Approach
At the heart of my work is the belief that lasting change begins when we feel safe enough to be ourselves. When we feel heard, understood and accepted without judgement, it becomes easier to make sense of our experiences, reconnect with ourselves and begin to move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.
My approach is gentle, collaborative and deeply human. You'll find me engaged, attentive and genuinely interested in understanding your experience. Together, we'll explore what has brought you here with warmth, curiosity and compassion.
As a pluralistic counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred, attachment-based, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural and humanistic therapies. Rather than following a single model, we'll work together to find an approach that feels right for you, honouring your pace, your preferences and your unique experiences.
I don't believe therapy is about "fixing" people. I believe it's about helping people better understand themselves, make sense of their experiences and discover new ways of moving forward that feel authentic and sustainable.
Above all else, I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can simply be yourself.
You don't need to know exactly what to say.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
And you certainly don't need to worry about being judged.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, which is why creating emotional safety is so important to me. From our very first conversation, we'll take everything at your pace. Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want to talk about; others simply know that something doesn't feel quite right. Both are completely okay.
My role is to walk alongside you, helping you gently untangle whatever has been weighing you down while supporting you to reconnect with your strengths, your values and the life you want to create.
